A reflective CV, built from your story

Your CV begins
with who you are.

Most CVs flatten you into job titles, into acronyms, into the version of yourself that fits a template. Ember begins somewhere different, with a quiet conversation about what you actually bring, what you are quietly proud of, what runs through your life as a thread you may not yet have named, and only then do we shape that into a CV that finally sounds like you.

About twenty minutes of your time, and closer to a conversation than a form.

Ember speaks English, Dutch, French, Romanian, Arabic, Turkish, Swahili, Japanese and Chinese, so you can reflect in the language that feels closest to your own thinking, and we will tailor a CV or a cover letter from there.

The premise

You are more than a list of jobs.

A CV worth sending does not begin with formatting; it begins with noticing, with the slow work of putting words to what you have actually lived, to what gave you confidence, to what made you proud, to what people quietly come to you for.

Ember walks you through that noticing the way a thoughtful coach would, from the choices you made at eighteen, through the small wins of your first internship, to the skills you barely realised you had built, until they show up on the page in your own register, not in a template's.

The journey

Six steps, from a quiet first question to a CV ready to send.

  1. 01

    Reflect

We begin with the questions a CV usually skips, the ones about who you are when no one is asking you to perform, how the people close to you describe you, what you find yourself returning to, what you would, quietly, like to be recognised for.

  2. 02

    Tell your story

From the year you were born, through the studies you chose and the ones you turned down, through the first job that surprised you, your life moves forward as a thread you can finally see.

  3. 03

    See your professional thread

Across the choices and the detours, a pattern is already there, often invisible to the person who lived it; we name it together, in plain words, without inventing a title for you.

  4. 04

    Shape your CV

Once the thread is named, we turn it into a CV draft you can preview, refine, and add a photo to, in one of three layouts that suit different kinds of work.

  5. 05

Tailor a CV, write a cover letter

When a vacancy catches you, you paste it in, and Ember rewrites your CV around it and, if you wish, drafts a cover letter in the same voice as your reflection, three to four paragraphs long, ready to refine and send, with each tailored document costing one credit.

  6. 06

    Send your CV

You download a polished .docx, or send it to your inbox, so that the next time someone asks for your CV, the answer is already waiting for you.

Not just CVs

Cover letters in the same voice, on the same credit.

Once your reflection is on the page, Ember can also draft a cover letter for the same vacancy, three to four paragraphs long, in your own register, opening with what genuinely connects you to the role and closing with a human, confident invitation to talk.

The same credit covers either a tailored CV, or a cover letter, or both, so you can mix them however the week needs without keeping two separate counters in your head.
